The team at Avalon Beach RSL Club are daring our General Manager, Angus Rimmer, to do a walk/run from Mona Vale to Avalon Beach RSL Club (approx 7kms) in a full Pikachu costume! [ PS. Our GM is not a fan of Pokemon :) hehe ]

He will be doing the run, possibily with a few dressed up helpers, on Saturday 22nd October. He will be collecting donations on the way, so come say hi & get a photo!

Also on Saturday the 22nd the club will have a dunking tank in the courtyard so other staff, members, directors & guests can be dared to dunk!

Angus and many others will be stepping out of their comfort zone to represent the 950 brave Aussie children & adolescents who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Show your support and help us reach our target! $2600 is the equivalent of a life-saving Minimal Residual Disease testing for Aussie kids fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, $5,200 is the equivalent of two. Let’s make a difference together! All funds go directly to Children’s Cancer Institute, the only medical research institute in Australia wholly focussed on childhood cancer.

About Children's Cancer Institute

Every year more than 950 Australian children and adolescents will be diagnosed with cancer, and every week nearly three Australian children and adolescents will die of cancer. Children’s Cancer Institute exists solely to put a stop to this.

As the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to childhood cancer, our role is vital. Because, despite our progress, cancer still kills more children than any other disease.

Our task won’t be easy – childhood cancer is hugely complex – but we’re confident that with the brightest brains, the best facilities and the greatest determination, we will get the job done.

We are curing childhood cancer. It's not if. It's when.
